frequently asked questions
- Where is Riviera del Sol?
Riviera del Sol is actually an "urbanisation" situated in Mijas Costa along the coast of Malaga province in the "Costa del Sol" in the south of Spain.
A fantastic destination for individuals, golfers and families in search of a residential area that still has all the amenities that one would need. Only a 20 minute drive from the Malaga airport (AGP) and a 10 minute drive from world-famous Marbella.
You can see the exact location here using Google Maps.
- How do I make a reservation?
The first step to make a reservation at the townhouse in Riviera del Sol is to double check the availability calendar and make sure that it is indeed free for the dates that you are looking for. See: availability calendar to check this. Once you know that it is free, please contact us and we will revert with reservation deposit and further details regarding the rental.
- Is the townhouse child-friendly?
Yes, it is! As we lived in the house ourselves for seven years with two small children, the house is well-equipped. Stairgates, high chair, bed guard, travel cot with memory foam mattress, potty, toilet seat, baby bath, toys, inflatable rings and arm bands... if there is something missing we will always do our best to supply it. No extra charge for any of this equipment.
- Does the townhouse have a private garden?
The back doors open out on to a garden area, which is exclusively for your use although it is not closed off from the rest of the communal gardens.
- Is there a children's pool?
Yes, the garden area outside the house leads down to the gated pool. The pool consists of two sections: one small kiddie pool and one larger deeper pool.
- What else is in the area for children?
Within a short walking distance, you have a play park (with rabbits, hens and other animals) and of course the beach. In La Cala de Mijas, which is a five-minute drive, you have Fantasy Land, a soft play centre. It is very clean and well-run. If you drive a little further, you have Yoyuba in Fuengirola, a larger play centre.

Well, Eric went out of his way to make us feel at home in his cosy place in Riviera del Sol. We had a car, but Eric is right when he says there is no need for one. You can get to the place cheaply and easily from the airport and, once there, everything is in walking distance and there are frequent buses along the coast to Marbella and Fuengirola. Eric himself is very knowledgeable about the area and is great fun to have a coffee or a beer with, particularly if you need a bit of local insight like we did...

Our friends were staying at a 5* Hotel just across the road and our apartment was much nicer - star quality without the price tag!! The pool was clean and a total treat every day! The majority of neighbours weren't about, but the ones that were very friendly...

From the second we walked in to the gated community we knew this was going to be the perfect place to spend our much needed break in the sun. Riviera Del Sol is in the perfect location as it's just 10 minutes away from Fuengirola and it's nightlife. The village where this house is based has a few bars and restaurants and a supermarket, all only within a 2-3 minute walk so you don't have to leave the vicinity...
